J.J. Redick holds the record now...he is from Roanoke, VA, and of course, plays for Duke.
He broke Curtis Staples record of 413 set in 1998...he too is from Roanoke, VA and played for UVA.
Doug Day held the record from 1993 to 1997 with 401...he is from Blacksburg, VA and played for Radford.
Three of the all-time Top 4 3-point shooters are from the State of Virginia.
Keith Veney, who held the record from 1997-98 with 409, is the only one of the Top 4 not from Virginia...he played for Lamar and Marshall.
